Working together · from anywhere

Distance is a calendar problem.

Not a quality one. The studio is in Bath, and most of what we build is delivered without ever standing in the same room as the client. That is not a compromise we apologise for; it is how the work is designed to run, and it is why a business on the other side of the world gets the same site as one down the road.

We have already done this.

The Star Bar is a heritage venue in Launceston, Tasmania. That is roughly seventeen thousand kilometres from Bath, and about as far from the studio as it is physically possible to get. Lucy was on holiday, walked in, got talking to the people running it, and left with the job. The build happened afterwards, from the other side of the planet.

The site that came out of it runs to thirteen hand-written pages with every menu price published and a structure built so the venue actually turns up in local search. If a project can survive a ten-hour time difference and still land properly, your time zone is not the thing standing in the way. Read how it came together.

Written down, not talked around.

Remote work fails when everything important happens in a meeting somebody missed. So the important things do not happen in meetings.

Calls on your clockBooked to suit your hours, not ours. Usually two or three across a whole build.
Decisions in writingEvery choice lands in an email you can re-read, forward, and hold us to.
See it as it is builtA live preview link from early on, so you are never approving a description of a page.
No agency layerYou deal with the person building the site. Nothing is relayed, so nothing is lost.

The questions that actually come up.

Can you build my site if I am not in the UK?

Yes. The studio is in Bath and the work is done remotely, which is how most projects run even for clients an hour down the road. Distance changes the calendar, not the result.

What time zone do you work in?

UK time, and for part of the year from elsewhere in Europe, still on UK hours. Calls are booked to suit you rather than us, and everything between calls is written down so nobody is waiting on a time slot to make progress.

What currency do you invoice in?

Prices are quoted in pounds sterling. If you need invoicing in another currency, ask before we start and we will confirm what is possible rather than surprise you at the end.

Do I still own the files if I am overseas?

Yes, exactly the same. The site is handed over as plain files you keep, and you can host it in your own country with whoever you like. Nothing about ownership changes with your address. Here is the full argument.

Will it rank in my country, not the UK?

That depends on your domain and your setup, and it is worth getting right before you build. A country domain like .ie or .ca is a strong signal to Google about who you are for, and a .com is neutral. Tell us which market you are actually selling into and we will build the structure to match rather than guessing.

What if I want to meet in person?

In Bath, Bristol and the wider South West that is easy and normal. Beyond that it is a video call, which for most projects is genuinely the same conversation. We would rather be straight about that than promise a visit that never happens.

Bath first, then anywhere.

The South West in person. The rest of the UK, Europe and further afield remotely, on the same terms and at the same price.
