What is different about this market.
Welsh language is the question every Welsh business site has to answer. You are not obliged to run a bilingual site as a private business, but depending on your customers it can be a real differentiator, and it is far cheaper to plan for at the start than to retrofit later.
Outside the M4 corridor, distances get long and populations get thin, which makes genuine coverage pages unusually valuable. A business that properly covers its valley or its stretch of coast can own that search in a way that is impossible in a city.
Two practical notes for Welsh businesses. If you serve both sides of the border, that is worth planning for in the structure rather than bolting on later. And if a meaningful share of your customers use Welsh day to day, a bilingual route is far cheaper designed in from the start than retrofitted.
